Just yesterday, at the end of a fun day at a family function, I got a call from my sister. She said that our Mom had just booked a beautiful house at Buck Island Corolla for a family vacation.
I am so excited!
We have never had a vacation like this together.
When we were young, we always spent two weeks at the Jersey shore. Since then, I have went on various day trips but have not been on a vacation since my daughter was a toddler (she is now 26).
Oh, cross your fingers that my vacation request gets approved at work. Have I said that I am excited?
I have gotten approval (well sort of, tentatively, they foresee no problems, etc) to take the time off. Everyone in the family is able to be off from work and go! This is so exciting to me.
Anyone from this area with any suggestions, please share. I want to enjoy my first real vacation in almost 3 decades to the fullest.
I am so grateful to be included in this holiday with family. There is no way we could ever dream to do this on our own.
