There is such struggle within our world today; in our homes, back yards and across the oceans.
I yearn for a gentler world, that again encourages, enriches and welcomes.
Do you remember Fred Rogers?
Do you remember how he was glad that we were his neighbors,
and he welcomed us with open arms?
Do you remember how he truly liked us just the way we are?
Mr. Rogers always seemed to make sense of life in such simple ways. He had a way of soothing us, even while discussing difficult issues.
He always let the sunlight shine in his neighborhood, and in ours; they were one in the same in his eyes.
The world sorely needs more friends like Fred.
